Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 22, 2026
Here we describe what information passes through spacemisfits.com and what we do with it. In this policy, “we” means the operator of Spacemisfits. Privacy questions go to [email protected], and we aim to answer them in a reasonable time.
Visit data and tracking
When a page loads, the hosting systems behind spacemisfits.com may keep a record of the request: IP address, user agent, requested address, referrer and timestamp. Those logs help us fix errors, understand capacity and spot unusual or harmful traffic.
Cookies, pixels and comparable tools may be active on the site where they are switched on. Their jobs include saving preferences, counting visits and understanding which articles are read, serving ads, and recording affiliate referrals.
Controls you can use
You can adjust cookie settings in your browser, clear stored data or use private browsing. Blocking everything may break some features. Where the law recognises an opt-out preference signal, we respect it for tools we control. Do Not Track settings are not consistently supported.
Mail, forms and outside services
Anything you send by email is received by us together with your address and message content. We read it in order to reply, consider changes to articles and keep relevant correspondence. Please leave out confidential or financial information that we do not need.
Your correspondence is never offered for sale to data brokers.
If a mailing list is available, the address you submit is used to send the updates you requested. The email provider may measure whether messages are opened or clicked. You can unsubscribe at any time, and a suppression note may be retained to honour that choice.
Several functions are supplied by third parties: servers, statistics, ad technology, email systems and media embeds. They can collect data such as your IP address when content loads. Their handling of it is covered by their own policies, and linked sites follow theirs too.
Retention, rights and updates
Retention depends on purpose. Server logs are kept for a bounded time, emails are kept while a matter may need revisiting, and opt-out records remain so they can be honoured. We may hold information longer if the law requires it or a dispute arises.
Summary figures about readership, stripped of anything that points to you personally, may be stored for planning future articles.
Laws in some places give people the right to see what is held about them, ask for changes or deletion, limit processing and decline targeted advertising. To use any of these, write to [email protected]. We may ask for proof it is you, and where we must refuse, we will say why.
This website is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly gather data from them. A parent or guardian who thinks a child has contacted us can write to [email protected], and we will take steps to remove the information.
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to guard data, though nobody can promise perfect security online. Information may be handled in places outside where you live, with safeguards applied where the law asks for them.
From time to time this policy will be updated. Look at the effective date to see when it last changed, and expect extra notice for material changes if the law demands it. Using spacemisfits.com afterwards means you accept the new text.
